Bridging Bionics Foundation: Salley Ray

Sally Ray was paralyzed in a snowmobiling accident twelve years ago.
Now she is able to walk again thanks to the Bridging Bionics Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides funding, education, and advances the research and development for exoskeletons and bionic technology to augment human mobility and capability.

Within a one mile span of the Uncompahgre Gorge the Ouray Ice Park contains over 200 man-made ice and mixed climbs, 14 distinct climbing areas, and three miles of vertical terrain. Since its inception more than two decades ago, the Ouray Ice Park has become a premier destination for climbers, travelers and outdoor enthusiasts from around the world.

Shining Stars: Wine, Women & Shoes

Wine, Women & Shoes is an exciting event that supports the Shining Stars Foundation. Money raised helps to bring children stricken with cancer to the Aspen Winter Games, held annually in March at Buttermilk Ski Area.

Ski Patrol Field Trip

Project:  Each year, ACES brings area second graders to the top of Aspen Mountain for a day of environmental and safety education.  In addition to snow shoeing in the forest, the students visit the Aspen Mountain Ski Patrol for a safety fireside chat and avalanche rescue demonstration.
